When I shoot fireworks (or in this case lasers), I like to set my camera to burst mode with a shutter speed around half a second. This is easier than trying to time everything in succession, and I’m able to pick out the photos I like best later on.
This shot is a composite of five different images, including 3 layers of lasers. The light show doesn’t start until after dark here in Singapore, so I took a base image during blue hour to get a nice sky. Later in editing I blended in the lasers and used an additional image to tone down some lights that were too intense.
