↟ ɪᴛ’s ᴇᴀsɪᴇʀ | Driving to work this morning, I saw a sign outside of a church that read “Be kind, it’s easier” and while I’m not religious at all and often those signs say things I consider completely ridiculous, I appreciated this one. What a true statement that is. It takes so much effort to be angry, put someone else down, and to be anything other than kind, and it’s so exhausting. I’ve added so much more positivity into my life over the last few months, have made many changes, and I hope I can continue to work forward a kinder future for myself. . Sadly, there is no sign of my duck, Helmet. If you didn’t see in my story, she went missing yesterday while I was at work. She must have gotten out of the pen and chances are, something snatched her.. I’m definitely numb to the entire situation. . . This photo of Winry in her @traildogco bandana really does brighten my day though. It’s so bright and she’s so beautiful.. they go together perfectly! —— { ᴡɪɴʀʏ20 } • @Traildogco | 20% . { ᴡɪɴʀʏ15} • @Kairosfordogs | 15% . { ᴡɪɴʀʏ15} • @Ruff_bar | 15% . { ᴡɪʟᴅɪɴɢ10 } • @Muttpackoutfitters | 10% . { ᴡᴛᴀɪʟs10 } • @Thenorthwestdog | 10% . { ᴡɪɴʀʏ } • @Twelvepawsca | 10% . { sᴀᴠᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴜs } • check our highlights for more codes! —— #rescue #dogsofinstagram #pnwonderland #hikingdogsofinstagram #hikingdogsofinsta #outdoorwithdogs #wildernessculture #choosemountains #adventurewithdogs #exploringwithdogs #dogsthathike #dogsonadventure #optoutside #bestwoof #aestheticdogs #adventuremutts #pnw #wanderwashington #washingtontrails #washingtonexplored #wildlingtails #thegreatoutdogs #thenorthwestdog

River did so well on these narrow trails. I didn’t realize how much exposure there would be, so I wouldn’t bring him back again. He’s nervous and jumpy, so I’m extra careful, and this is about my limit for him. #mountaindog

360° views from Alta Mountain. Being on top of a peak surrounded by all of these other beautiful peaks was such a neat experience. We also saw the MOST majestic mountain goat up here, just standing all alone on a nearby peak, doin his cute lil thang... and I'm starting to think that maybe in another life I would be a mountain goat. 🐐

I'm a sucker for a good skyline, I'll be honest.

After a short scramble up to the last few hundred feet, this gorgeous alpine lake comes into view , step by step. The wind was gusting but not enough to start producing white caps on the lake, and I actually needed to layer up while taking in the views while rehydrating. I was surprised to see a lady bug at around 6,500 ft / 1981.2 m. . . . . . . . Everyone has their own experience. That’s why we are here, to go through our experience, to learn, to go down those paths and eventually you may have gone down so many paths and learned so much that you don’t have to go back again. ~ PRINCE 💜 #trailtuesday #lookingforward #chasingthesun

The edits on my photos is an interpretation of the experience I had or I wish I had (this rings mostly true for my night photos) at the particular location. My toes were literally curling with satisfaction as the colors lit up when editing these photos; just the way I saw it with my own eyes. . . . . . . . . . . #folkgood #exploreeverything #borntoroam #earthoutdoors #pnwwonderland #voyaged #alphacollective #moodygrams #agameoftones #snoqualmie #alltrails #snoqualmiepass #evergreenstate #instagood #pacificnorthwest #awakethesoul #wanderwashington #tacomaphotographer

Sometimes you just need to go on a drive. And stop and see what’s on the way. From a moody day in the #northcascades.

The first time I hiked to Snow Lake, smoke from the wildfires was so bad you could barely see the lake from this point. It was July 2017 and when we were at the lake it was so cold that I brought out my emergency gloves, hat, and @buff_usa. This time was a lot more enjoyable!

First 4am run in months!! Felt good to be out there. Humidity was ridiculous (84%) and I definitely over dressed. Wanted to just test myself to see what I could do after not really running much over the last few months. Overall I’m pretty happy with how I did. Spending this week getting back into daily workouts then I’ll set my goals to get my pace down and my distances up. 96 days 👵🏼🏃🏽‍♀️🌦 #jillsjourney #july #washington #runnergirl #hikergirl #runwashington #optoutside #pnwwashington #pnwonderland #wanderwashington #hikersofinstagram #runnerscommunity #runnersofinstagram #runnerslife #fitgirls #slowrunner #fatbutfit #halfmarathontraining #whyihike #whyirun #takeitoutside #realwomenmove #sheexplores #outdoorwomen #herPNWlife #getoutside #igwashington #over50andfabulous #gymlife #iphonephotography

A silly little poem I wrote for the @outdoorresearch #SheAdventures scholarship but never sent in 🤫 “What motivates me to get outside?” It just seemed fitting. —————————————————— Miles behind me begin to accrue. All I can hear is the crunch of footing beneath my shoe. Step one after the other is all I have to do. One, two. My mind begins to clear and I realize my self-talk isn’t true. My mood evaporates from my pores into the sky, and I watch as it becomes blue. Being outside is my most organic way to feel brand new.

Today I got to participate in one of my absolute favorite things that my climbing club does for each other. A team of 12 of us met and climbed up the highest you can go on Rainier without a permit. We brought cold beverages, fresh fruit, and sugary bullshit and got to meet our teams coming back to camp from a safe and successful summit. I love that I get to be reminded over and over how much better it is to show up for others than for my own agenda. So grateful for this climbing community I've found. #OSAT
