Wahoo!! 100 miles later and I’m at the finish line of @vermont100mile. The race took a lot out of me, and I’m so happy and grateful to even be crossing the finish line. I don’t think my race would have been possible without my wife and crew who provided me countless sponge bathes and amazing support. In the 95 degree heat, my body was soaked in sweat, water or some combination of the two for the 17 hours, 37 minutes I was out there. Most impressively, I didn’t get any blisters or chaffing! The race was a constant battle of hydration, icing, elevation and dunking my head in any water source I came across. I was lucky enough to pull a 🥈 along with my first ever 100 mile belt buckle! Congrats to all the runners and riders out there regardless of how you finished, less than half of the runners who started made it across the finish line, but it is one hell of a commitment to even get to the start. Thank you to ALL volunteers and race organizers, I think there were 477 of you which is outrageous. I’ll put up a post race report on my blog, so keep an eye out for more details on my experience!
Next up, the 100k CCC AT @utmbmontblanc
