Walking barefoot is good for you.
the skin under our feet,
has been proven to have many health benefits,
also good for our mental health.
Therapeutic too, I’ve heard (and experienced). Each spring I’m on a mission,
to get “hard” enough skin under my feet to walk on gravel and pebbles without flinching aka walking normal and not look like I walk on eggshells 🤷🏻♀️🙈
I wanna be - literally - in touch with the ground, our earth.
It just makes me feel like I at least have one thing together 😆
I feel more in tune with nature, my viking ancestors and hippie heart.. aaaand ofc wildflower life 🌻
Getting in contact with nature is so simple, so underrated and so good for our souls, body and mind.
I often try to think how people lived before the industrialization,
before big buildings,
big cities, asphalt and technology took over the world,
nature was a much bigger part of our lives,
we lived in nature,
walked in nature,
breathed fresh air.. I dare you to take your shoes and socks of - right now, with instagram in your hand, walk outside.. even if there’s only asphalt around you.. and touch the ground with your feet’s bare skin. If you live in a city, try to find a piece of nature, grass, flowers, a tree.. and touch it with your feet.
Take a picture, add it to your story and tell me what it made you feel (and tag me so I can see and repost) ☺️ #letswalkbarefeet
