Carbs get such a bad rep when in fact it’s the macronutrient that gives us energy the quickest. Carbs get broken down to glucose in order for our body to function. Our brain and red blood cells only use glucose. “I don’t eat carbs”...LIE! Carbs aren’t only pasta, bread, sweets, sugar, and rice. Fruits and vegetables are also carbs. If you don’t eat carbs (fruits and veggies), you’d be one constipated mess without energy. Moderation is key!
This weekend, I tried one of the most delicious cauliflower dishes and gemmelli from @adas.lv - another option for my vegetarian friends. I’m still dreaming about that cauliflower - a great flavor combo of salty, citrus, spicy = delicious!
