Have you ever do something that you thought you’re not going to be able to finish it?
Something that you think easy, but in the long run it feels heavy until finally you want to give up?
To be honest, I’m not really a good mountaineer. I love trekking, but after a few minutes I will losing my breath because of my asthma. It always happens.
I like sports since I was a kid, but there’s nothing I can do with my body weakness.
Until finally I meet something called ‘Traveling’. Traveling forces my body to keep moving, to breathe faster and think smarter. Smart in determining the possibilities outside of the comfort zone. For some people, trekking is not a difficult thing. But for me who got asthma since I was kid, its way more difficult than all the exam papers.
But do you know that human body is designed for moving and can go beyond impossible things that you never imagined?
I can’t believe it, I can trekking up to 17.7 kilometers a day. It is because of my job as a photographer and demands from friends. Not to mention the weight of the backpack that containing all camera equipment that is up to 10 kilos.
It turns out, I made it! I was very grateful, when we arrived at the photo spot. I feel so proud of myself, even though I had to stop many times, with my asthma medicine in my hand, it turns out that my physique was still strong. Well preparation and strong goals may be one of my encouragement. From Jordan I realized, our biggest enemy is actually ourselves.
